Charged for Spotify Premium, checked account, but did not get Premium

Hi, I signed up for the "Free 30 Day Trial" of Spotify premium that you get when linking your paypal account, which then starts the $9.99 after those 30 days, I ended up getting charged $1, not much, but an odd amount, I read through the FAQ's and the forums and no one else has this issue, and despite being charged $1 I have not gotten my 30 days for "Free" (I had a 1 week free trial active, and the Premium date is still set to 13 Sep 2016), I logged out of all devices, I double checked that it was not a scam, then contacted PayPal who told me my best option is to check with Spotify itself, and the customer support agent assured me that the transaction was not a scam, I hope that this gets resolved before I start getting charged more!

Notes: I have checked that it is in fact the right account, (10 digit number = my facebook profile), and that it was NOT a problem on my behalf!

Hey @iyadokal,

Did you get an email receipt for that charge? In it, it shows the Spotify username you paid:

Username/ID:        xxxxxxx

Double check it's the same 10 digit number you have, which is your actual Spotify username.

You can login to the website with your Facebook to check the status of your subscription, and your receipts too.

Hope it helps. 🙂

Thanks for your reply,

I have just checked my email, on the Paypal reciept it matches my facebook username exactly, though I havent recieved a reciept from Spotify themselves!

Thanks for your help!

Just to add: I have recieved an email from Spotify saying "Welcome to Premium" though no numbers or anything, and the email is legit, and from " no-reply@spotify.com " so I do assume that it is legit.

@iyadokal

In that case, you should fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to see what's going on within 24 hrs. Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.

If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to support@spotify.com and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.
