Let me start by saying I LOVED Spotify and recommended to everyone.
I pay happily.
Or ... did. Now, I get stop starts, drop outs and disconnects from the service... and now playlists play one or perhaps two or three songs in a row and then just stop. Not a disconnect... because playing from the following track will work fine.
Seriously, I'll give it one week. If it's not sorted in one week from me posting this, I have to cancel. I love the service, but it's broken as hell and has been for sooooo long now.
Thanks and I hope someone can explain to me why these problems exist and how to fix them.
Running Mac OS Lion 10.7.3, Late 2011 24.ghz i7, 8gb Ram, 100mb Internet connection with Virgin Media, connected via network cable. It's not the internet connection. I can stream youtube videos and surf the internet fine while these Spotify issues arise. And it's not a ports issue that's changed here because I've changed literally nothing. Unless Spotify have changed their system.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Run these without any errors:
sfc /scannow
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
Checkdsk will be executed after next reboot. But I did already a check disk run using explorer, without any errors...
Restarting does not solve the issue.
DPC Latency Checker is green.
The PC is fast enough to handle Photoshops, big pictures and smooth editing of these.
It's not an issue with my internet. On my older laptop it is working fine at the same time. Also offline songs are affected.
I also use CCleaner.
The issue is back again, since the most current update of spotify. That's really annoying. Especially the app does not perform on my Sony Xperia as well. I like the service, but it feels like, the software is not perfoming well.
It's back again. Really annoying...
Love Spotify but now consider other alternatives. Spotify constantly drops out on Sonos. Other music systems SoundCloud and Apple Music seem find. Is it a Spotify problem or Sonos.
Same Problem in Germany! Spotify doesn´t work right everyday exactly from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm all other dayparts it works fine. Dropouts and permanent change of titles over hours!!!
I am working so my preferred time to listen to music is in the evening. I´m quite miffed about this issue. I lasts since about two monthes!
It would be great if someone of the Spotify staff could have a look on that. Otherwise I would need to change the provider which I wouldn´t like to do.
I´m listening on teufel raumfeld and pc. The problems appear on both systems, Internet connection is running on 100 MBit and works fine.
kind regards
