Credit card refusal?

Hello, I've been a free spotify user for a long time now and decided i wanted to go premium. Now i have a credit card, so i tried to use it. Then suddenly i got a refusal with the message that i should check the input i have given. I have paid for multiple things overseas, so my card can pay for commerce outside the Dutch border. Still: Why can't I subscribe? The country i live in is correct on my spotify profile and facebook profile that im syncing to so im drawing a blank. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Hi, is the card issuer country the same as the country your profile is set to?

Yeah; my credit card is from the same country as the country set in my profile (The Netherlands). Thanks for your answer though, unfortunately im still at a loss.

You should see if your bank blocked the charge, then contact support at the link above 🙂

Could you double check your payment details? I don´t actually see any of them on our system. You can check it out if you log in to our website and go to "Edit profile" option, then you will be able to change or edit your payment details: http://www.spotify.com/se/

This is the message i get when i put in the information at the payment details page:
"Declined, please check or change payment details." 

Payment details can therefor not be in the system, because im declined to do so by the spotify system.

 

I called my bank but they dont see a problem with my bank account, so it does seem like it's the spotify side that is the problem.

I know; it's the reason i use the forum. Normally i always try to find my own solutions but this time i really am, as far as im considered, out of options. I´ll make a ticket and send it to spotify support. Thanks in any case for the help.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

 

I would suggest that you make sure that your card and account meet all of the requirements set out in the Payment FAQ.

As for your support ticket, how long ago did you submit it? If its been more than 48 hours, post your case number here and I will see if I can get a member of staff to look into it for you. You might also want to double check that there are no Spotify messages caught up in your spam/junk folders. Also if you received an automated email reply telling you to visit the community, you need to reply to that message (even if it says not to) to get your case pushed through to one of the Customer Service agents.

YES, nothing is wrong with my card or my bank, everything is good on my end.

I have the same error, i tryed the operation in browsers internet explorer, chrome, opera but is the same problem persist.

The error are in the spotify online payment system that does not allow to write the full name of the card owner, address and phone to confirm payment With the bank. if there are some incomplete data, the bank proceed to decline it.

I can see this problem in very much people that posted here.

 

I am having the same issue as well. The issue is that Spotify does not allow entry of full name and address to match billing statement on cc.  Yes, to all of the stupid questions that spotify customer service asked me. I am registered in Us and card is issued in US. I use this card ALL OF THE TIME online and have nver had an issue. Card works internationally.  

 

Please call or chat or do something in real time that slightly resembles customer service. 

 

Please dont ask me the same stupid questions like customer service did twice. Please read what I have already wrote and help me. I need this service turned on today so I can use music off line on my iphone.
