Disappointing and confusing Spotify gift subscription

I thought I bought my sister in Darwin, Australia a six month gift subscription to be 'delivered' on her birthday only to find that she didn't get anything. Looking at my receipt it looks like the redemption code has been sent to me at my email address without any reference to it being a gift for her. I am hugely disappointed that she didn't get anything on her birthday as I had bought it as a gift through Spotify (on myiPad). I was excited that I could send her this from the UK only to find it has not worked. Also I am not suire she will be able to activate it with her email address now. Dom't know what to say to her.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

 

She should have gotten an email (as well as one being sent to you) if you entered her email address in the recipient box when purchasing the eCard. Be sure to check spam/junk folders as sometimes they get caught up in those. 

 

The eCard will still be valid for her to redeem if you send her the code/link that is in the email you received.
