Disconnect from Facebook Help

I’m creating this post as there was different information for disconnecting your Facebook from Spotify after deleting my Facebook account. 

I wanted to say it was very easy with the new live chat service. After going to the help section I clicked on 'I need more help' a chat window popped up and immediately spoke with an agent who took me through the steps in releasing my email address then creating a new account and transferring my music over. This was excellent customer service and all done within 5 minutes. Thanks Spotify!  5 stars!

The new chat service is only in select markets right now so I wanted to post the following below for other users that stumble across this thread.

I suggest you contact support so they can help you transfer all your stuff to a non-Facebook Spotify account that uses a username and password to login. You will need to create a new Spotify account that uses a username, and include that username with the description of your problem when you are contacting support.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.
