Does Spotify Accept Prepaid Debit Cards

I am interested in signing up for spotify premium, however I am wondering if you all accept the American Express Bluebird prepaid debit card. Any response would be greatly appreciated!

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

Spotify do accept Amex cards, however some people do find they have issues with Amex I am not really sure why! The list of accepted payment methods for Spotify is here there are also some additional requirements outlined here. 

As for being prepaid, it is a bit of a grey area, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't! I would suggest you get in touch with the payments team directly using the online contact form as they will probably be able to give you more details. 

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks. However, what about a prepaid visa gift card. I would use that to purchase a spotify gift card online. Do you think that might work?

It might, as I said above with prepaid cards, some people seem to have success, some people don't!

Most of the time it does; in my experience, the only time I've had a lot of troubles is when I got an Amex card, and I just used put it on PayPal and used it, and currently where I'm having problems with a payment not happening for the third month in a row with a Visa card. Normally I just get a new card with twenty or so dollars every month, except I got a fifty dollar one for my birthday and it's just a pain.

BUt they typically work in my experience.
