Does the 7 day trial still exist 2016?

I just signed up and my freind had a 7 day free trial. I don't have a credit card and all it's giving me is the 30 day trial with a card number, does the shorter trial no longer exist and I it does can any one tell me how to get it please.

From what I understand from looking through similiar posts the "7 day trials are usually for new mobile app users. You should be able to get it by getting the Spotify mobile app. Please keep in mind that if you already have had a Premium subscription (even another trial) you wouldn't be eligible for the trial."
