Error Code: 410

Solved!

Error Code: 410

Hello,

As of yesterday I can't log in to my Spotify account using my Spotify account details.

The interface appears but I get a 410 error code forcing me in offline mode, also saying that my username or password is wrong.

I've tried to reset the password, but I'm not getting the mail, maybe I've been hacked?

Problem is that my spotify-account was not linked with my facebook. If I log in with the facebook account, I find a new free account without my playlists. I can't access my premium account..

And you get the '410' when you're logging in with the username 'dalrun' and your Spotify password? Have you changed the password to your 'dalrun' account? Don't login with Facebook - you'll access a totally different account.

Who's your Spotify Star?

When trying to log in, I'm told "wrong password / username". When trying to change the password, it says I should log in with the facebook-account (same mail-adress), but then I'm sent to the wrong account...

Create a new password here, using 'dalrun'. You'll then get a password reset link through. Then try logging in again.

Try entering your Spotify username (not email address) on the password reset page.

When entering dalrun instead of my e-mail, I'm told that instructions are sent, but I don't receive anything.

Dalrun - Ok, please email in here. If you get the auto-response, just reply to it. Tell me when you've done so, I'll get back to you.

Who's your Spotify Star?

I am now having the same problems as the rest of the community in this post. I am getting error 410 and am unable to log into Spotify. I have tried to reset my password but have never recieved the email with the proper link with all the same symptoms as everyone above. My user name is peteg9699

I'm getting the exact same problem as Dalrun. All of a sudden, for no reason whatsoever. Last night I was enjoying Spotify like usual, been a member for years. Tonight I was about to put on some music, when I discovered I was in offline mode. I logged out, logged in and got Invalid Username or Password. I can still access my playlists and see the songs in them, but I can't play anything, and I get the 410 error about username and password.

Password reset doesn't work, if I use the nickname Lsnake that I use to log in, I'm told I'll get a mail with instructions, but nothing happens. No mail. I'm currently logged in to the forums with this trial account, but that's not good enough. I've paid for years and I  want access to my premium account. I assume and hope it's just some server issues, I don't get what else it should be. I've sent a request to customer support about it like I should, hopefully I'll get a response.

My account is linked to Facebook, but I don't log in through Facebook, I log in with my own Username and Password. Just for the sake of it, I've changed password on Facebook, but it doesn't make any difference. I cannot chose Disconnect from Facebook through Spotify, it says the action is not possible in offline mode. So, I'm stuck, hoping customer service can help.

I absolutely love Spotify, you don't realize how much you miss it until you suddenly lose it. I'm hoping I can get back my access soon.

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

The best course of action to take here is to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and they will be able to look into your account for you.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks for the response Peter. We'll see what customer service can do,.I got a reply that I should log into my Facebook account which is totally wrong. My account name is Lsnake, and it's not a Facebook account. It's a premium account I've had for years. It only shares to my Facebook. I've replied but haven't gotten any answers yet. It makes no sense at all though, I hadn't logged out when this happened, it just happened overnight. I was using it fine on Saturday, and on sunday I had just left it running and it was offline. Now I can't even log in and get 410 anymore, now I just get Login Failed.

Can people "hack" Spotify accounts? I'm quite worried.

People can "hack" anything if you give them enough time or resources (being a computer science student!), but the odds of your account being compromised are very small. Don't worry, if you are in touch customer services via email they will be able to get to the bottom of this for you.

I'm quite sure someone gained access as my email address on my account was changed from mine to something with .nl as the email address without my knowledge.

I would suggest you change the email address back to your own and change your password as soon as possible.

Seriously? Do you not think I did that already?

I'm sure he was inclined to think so, but Peter wanted to be sure 🙂

If you have changed your password and email, check your payment details and subscription settings. You may also want to ask to have all your sessions disconnected. You can do so in this thread 🙂

Could someone help me please? I am receiving an error 410 message. I have tried to reset my password, but it is stating that my username is incorrect.

I fear something like this has happened to me as well since I'm not getting any password reset mails, but my e-mail security settings are pretty darn tight, I got location and IP tracking of login, in addition to SMS notifications for suspicious logins and password changes, and I've only got my phone listed to Recovery Options so in case some **bleep** had my other e-mails, they still wouldn't access my account since they'd need the code sent to my phone.

I'll trust Spotify to fix this..but as it's a premium account, my card is set to pay it every month and I got years of worked up playlists on it, I'm not exactly happy at the moment 😕

I'm assuming you have already contacted customer services using the Support Form?

You may wish to instruct your bank to refuse purchases from Spotify until this is sorted 🙂
