Facebook advertising

Facebook advertising

A friend has recently pointed out to me that my status updates are being used in sponsored stories to sell spotify to her.  I would like to know on what grounds material I have created is being used for your advertising campaigns; is this part of your terms and conditions?

That is actually not Spotify's doing, that's a "feature" of Facebook called Social Ads.  You can turn this feature off if you like.  Log into facebook, click the downward arrow on the top right, and choose 'Account Settings.'  Then, on the left, click 'Facebook Ads.'  On the bottom of the next page, click 'Edit social ads setting.'  Finally, in the select box at the bottom labaled 'Pair my social actions with ads for,' select 'No one' and then click 'Save Changes' at the bottom.  This ought to prevent the activity you are seeing in the future.

Yeah, it is the feature in Facebook that you can easily turn off. I am also learning the Facebook Ads Management for my blog promotion and had hard time dealing with this issue then contacted an expert who explained everything to me.
