Facebook not linked to spotify but keeps reactivating anyway

My partner recently switched her spotify account over to a family account and sent me an email to join.

I signed up and at no stage did I ever link facbook. My facebook account has been deleted a few weeks ago.

I started getting emails from facebook, welcoming me back. I've checked my spotify account setting and it doesn't indicate that facebook is connected.

Facebook doesn't provide any support for this issue.

Facebook shouldn't be doing this. Please help.

It sounds like your account might have been created through Facebook. This is why your Facebook profile is reactivated when you log in to Spotify.
