Forgotten password - asks for password to reset???

Hi - I've just signed up, and downloaded Spotify to my laptop. I went to sign in (standalone, not using Facebook) and got a message telling me I had the wrong password. I tried all manner of what I thought were the right passwords, but no luck, so I clicked on the forgotten password link, which threw me back to my account on the website. Happy days, I could enter a new password - but I need my old password to change it! If I had my old password, I wouldn't be changing it anyway! Any advice on how to get around this? Cheers

When you click on forgot password and it throws you back to your account page click on log out and then go to this link. https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/

I've forgotten my password.  I've gone to the link you provided to change my password, but it asks for the "current password," which is what I've forgotten in the first place.  it's what we used to call a "Catch-22" sort of problem. 

Isn't there some other way to reset my password and reconnect through an email link, or failing that, some sort of customer service contact information?

Hey @standardtoo -- that can happen if you're currently logged in (say, if you've accessed the website by clicking Account inside Spotify itself).

If you're make sure you're logged out, or use an Incognito window, this link should work: https://www.spotify.com/password-reset/.
