Getting 2 google chrome pop-up ads whenever i start up spotify

Hi, recently i've been getting pop-up ads when starting up spotify. However the pop-ups is opened in Google Chrome! 1-2 ads is popping up when i start spotify. is this some sort of virus or is it some new way spotify uses ads?  help and answers is apreciated!

Hi,

I assume that this isn't a problem caused by Spotify.

Ads in Spotify are the same as before.

However you should have a look at your adblocker or install one if you haven't done so.

Additionally have a look at Chorme's settings. There is an option that Chrome automatically reopens when you start your computer or another program.

(I had the same problem with Deezer which automatically opened as soon as i opened any other program).

Same thing happening here. Close Spotify, the pop under adds in Chrome stop. Reopen Spotify and the ads start appearing again. Pretty shady ads too so this is pretty worrying. Using Linux desktop version of Spotify.

Also, the unwanted popups seem to be tied to a one particular ad banner in Spotify, when it stopped showing in the app the ads stopped and have not re-appeared. Sooooo ad banners are free to run unchecked javascript in Spotify or something else is going on? Sure hope that's not the case....

Here's a screenshot of the offending banner, whenever showing this banner from "ouyn.se" the pop unders appear.
