Help with Searching through Usernames

Hello Spotify!

I've read through some of the same problems on Forum. I wonder if I'm facing this problem because I chose to log in via Facebook instead of creating an account.

This is the issue: My username is a jumble of numbers and nobody can search or find me through my name or even my Facebook username through Spotify.

Now, is the only solution to create another account and ask if Spotify can transfer all my stuff from my account over?

Hi. Your facebook friends can find you by typing your facebook name into the music search bar. Non-facebook friends can find you by searching on your 10 digit spotify username as follows - spotify:user:0123456789. No need to change your account over.

In fact they can't. I tried myself, can't search for me at all. Maybe there's a setting somewhere I missed?

 entered in the music search bar works just fine for me so there's nothing wrong on your end. I can't search on your FB name as we're not FB friends though 🙂

Don't know how many friends are involved but you can also send them a link to yourself by right-clicking on your profile picture and copying the spotify URI (this will return the search term above) or, for facebook friends, share a track or playlist to your facebook page where they can find it and follow you.
