Hello Spotify,

I'm trying to launch my official Spotify account after several years of requests from my followers on Instagram.

I've published several playlists and made my accout public (not linked to Facebook), however my user or playlists are NOT FOUND through the search bar. 

I've tried the spotify:user: and still doesn't work. Sharing a link to my followers will not work (nor the "spotify:user:.."). 

Why is it not possible to find my username or public playlists as it is with most other public users?

PLEASE HELP!

If I need the username, but i have only the nick name that they show in them profile, How can i get the username that they registered in the beginning?

inside the brackets  replace 'username' with yours or someone else's username it won't work with just username inside it

If you're using a browser version then you can go to 
https://open.spotify.com/user/[username] 

replace username with user .

For eg:

That's not helpful though. I have their name but not their user name. All that shows up is that they added a song to a play list under their real name. Not their user name.

The following solution works for the Web Player.

If you know your friend's username, you can follow these steps: 

1. Go to the url bar 

2. Type spotify.com/user/username

Hey folks,

Here are a few suggestions made by members of the Community:

@Jude /@user-removed suggest asking your friend to send you a link to one of their playlists. When you open the link to the playlist, you will find a link to their profile.

@David suggests typing 'spotify:user:[username]' into the search bar on the desktop or mobile app.

Note: if your friend doesn't know their username, they can easily find it by following these steps.
