Hi!
I want to use Spotify. However, I'm connected to my facebook account which I want to delete. I can't delete it because it's tied to my Spotify account. And I can't disconnect the facebook account from Spotify.
Now, I just want to start fresh, forget about any facebook integration **bleep**. PLEASE, will you please delete my Spotify account and let me sign up for a new one?
There is a problem, I got a newly applied premium subscription to the account I want terminated. Can this be transfered to a new account or is a refund a possibility?

Hi, first try and go to Edit->Preferences and scroll down to the bottom, and select disconnect from facebook.
If that doesn't work, create a new account at http://spotify.com/signup/open and use the link at the bottom of that page to sign up using your email address.
You can then contact support using the Support Form and ask them to transfer your premium subscription to your new account (provide your email and username).

I'm not accepting this solutuon yet. I want to use my username for the new account. I want this deleted....

Hi, when you sign up for the new account, you can choose a username. When you send the support team a message to transfer your subscription, you can also ask them to delete your old account.
No, My current username is the one I want to use on my new account, therefore, this account has to be closed first in order to choose that username.

If your account has a username linked to it, then you can unlink from facebook using the method specified above - can you login to Spotify using your username and not facebook? If so, then you can delete facebook and use your username to log in.
Be aware that the community and Spotify usernames aren't linked in any way.
And this is the point where all the fun begins. On the client, I can log in with a specific username and password, but on the web, I HAVE to log in with facebook. Attempting a login with my username and password on the website will fail. And the option to disconnect the facebook account in preferences is deffenietly not available.

That is really strange, when you say log in on the web, do you mean on the my account page or using the web player?
I assume the my account page, which is really strange - it shouldn't be doing that...
I will escalate this to forum staff however - this seems to be another issue...

"maljanovska" on the client.
I'm sorry, the username "maljanovska" was my username on facebook. I have always logged in to Spotify with it, did not realize the "main" username was the email address tied to Spotify. It's a mess. I am in contact with the email support and will continue there, please close this thread. Thanks for all help!
