I just realized I'm being charged twice for Spotify. Once for me, plus a premier for my wife.

Solved!

I just realized I'm being charged twice for Spotify. Once for me, plus a premier for my wife.

Shouldn't we both be able to listed on the premier account? Can I cancel my regular, $10 account with Facebook credentials?

Hi @emilyh226711! Quickly to clarify: You and your wife are both premium subscribers, and you are asking whether or not you can cancel the one linked to your Facebook account, and share hers, correct?

Assuming that's the case, the simple answer is "not really." While you would be able to share a single account, you would not be able to listen at the same time, as this is a fundamental restriction on all Spotify accounts. What I would recommend instead is enrolling for a Spotify Family Plan.

A Family Plan is like buying premium in bulk, and allows up to six people enjoy premium on their own accounts, all for a monthly fee of (at least in the US, price varies by country, but remains about the same) $15 USD. If you have any questions on what a Family Plan is, I'd recommend looking at this FAQ.

This will be the lowest cost option that will allow you and your wife to enjoy your own premium accounts. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns on the subject that I might be able to address. Cheers!

thank you very much for your answer. that helps a lot.
here's another one—kinda dumb—about my premier account using Facebook
credentials:
how do i cancel it? i don't see any options for that on the site or my
iPhone...
thanks again for your knowledge about Spotify!
cheers!

Hey @emilyh226711, no such thing! You should be able to cancel your account by visiting this page. Please note that there are a few times where you'll be asked if you're really sure. At the end you should get an email confirming successful cancellation, and if you don't get that email, go back again and be sure to get through the whole process.

Let me know if you can't cancel from that page, or if you have any other issues. Cheers!
