I subscribed and paid for spotify premium yesterday, but I still can't listen to songs that I have listened to more than 5 times and I still have a limit on the hours I can listen to. I have tried logging in and out of spotify, I have restarted my laptop twice, and I even downloaded spotify again. Please help.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Another data point -- signed up for Premium trial, got receipt. Have followed uninstall directions and restarted. Still offers me ads, upgrade and got select Premium preference options.
[Mac rMBP, OS 10.8.2]
Thanks.
Oops! Meant that I can't select Premium preferences.

Hey 🙂
Welcome to the community!
As @@meahtenoha said on the previous page, there is currently an ongoing issue with premium account upgrades. Your Spotify client will still have the adverts and track limits until this issue is resolved and your account can be upgraded. The team are on it so a fix will be issued as soon as the issue is found and corrected 🙂

Wish I saw this topic before I upgraded just a few minutes ago. Neither the (Windows) desktop program nor the (Android) app are showing my account as premium whereas the website does say I'm premium. Hope your issue is fixed soon.
I seem to be having the same problem on my Mac an Iphone. Just signed for the 30 day trial but it has not updated despite the fact that my account says I am currently on Premium.
Sorry to hear you're having this issue guys. It'd be best to get in touch via our contact form if it continues after trying the steps we recommended previously (logging out and in a few times).
When I sign in to my spotify on my mum's laptop it works, but onmy laptop it isn't working still
As you can see from my print screen at the top it says "spotify premium" but when i try and play certain songs, the music bar thing at the bottom wont let the song play
I'm having the same issue. Spotify turned off my Premium subscription b/c my debit card was stolen and I got a new one and forgot to let them know for my recurring payment. But I put in my new debit card, the payment went through and everything says I am a Premium subscriber but I have lost all of my Premium capabilities and can't play anything online! Sent a help request this morning and haven't heard back.
I´ve got the same issue. Hope you´ll fix it soon.
Also I paid for this on tuesday and I can STILL not use it.
I can't get the upgrade to take as well. I've restarted, reinstalled, and enptied cache. How will we know issue is resolved?
Also, who can we take to about a refund of the prorated time?

Hey!
Welcome to the community 🙂
Premium features should start working once it is fixed. You might need to log out and back in again.
There should also be a post by a staff member on this topic when it is all working again 😉

Hey 🙂
As I do not work for Spotify, I can't answer your question.
I would suggest you direct such a query at the customer support team using the online contact form.
