Hey welcome to the community!
This is pretty simple to do yourself.
That's it! Best of luck.
Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out.
When you update your payment details for your subscription, the new payment method will replace the old one.
I hope that clears things up! 🙂
I believe the user was looking to delete the old payment information from the system (perhaps to ensure no accidental charges or just being vigilant of having personal information online). I provided them with the steps to remove the old card above. 🙂
Hey @Apollo2231,
I totally understand, however, the "Saved payment cards" section isn't associated with the the subscription 🙂 It's only used for purchasing content.
Since the user didn't mention which payment method they updated, I assumed it's the one for their subscription, since that's what most people use.
Totally understandable. From my own experience, and it may be a different experience from region to region based on differing laws etc, but at least in USA, I know there are two separate areas where all saved payment methods are listed. I understand the subscription card lives in the "update card" area of your profile, and the saved payment methods is down below payments. Again, this could be different depending on region, but I know when I updated my subscription payment method, my old card info was still stored on my account in both areas of the account settings. However, there is no option to delete a card when you click "update card." Removing the payment method from the saved payment methods tab however, does indeed remove the card info from both areas.
I hope I explained that in a way that makes sense? It's difficult to explain without showing you what I'm talking about step by step, however of course I would rather not post screenshots of my sensitive account info publicly. 😅
Hey @Apollo2231,
Yeah, I totally understand that 🙂 It's always quite difficult to provide a solution that applies to every country/region, especially if the user hasn't named the country they live in, for example.
Have a great rest of your day!
