Hi, after having waited quite some time Spotify would be available in my country and also because last.fm radio wouldn't be available anymore in my country I decided it was time to subscribe. Not only to get rid of the annoying advertisements but mainly because it's TOTALLY worth it. I mean having the possibility to instantly listen to all the music I love is amazing. And labels and artists deserve the little monthly fee. So a big THANK YOU Spotify, you changed the way to listen to music!!
A little hint is to mix last.fm and spotify. Look for enthousiast last.fm music lovers, export their loved tracks playlist, import it to spotify thanks to Ivy and you have the best way to discover new bands!
You can also use the last.fm app inside the Spotify desktop client to view your account, what you are currently listening to and recommendations. Definitely worth a try if you have a last.fm account!

I'm indeed already using the last.fm app, which is a nice tool. but I guarantee that the loved tracks playlists from last.fm users is awesome because it's the best selection for a particular taste of music. of course look for users with thousands and thousands of scrobbles.
here is mine http://www.last.fm/user/j3hdy/library/loved# export it as a .TSV file, upload it at http://www.ivyishere.org/ivy then paste it into an empy spotify playlist
You forgot "convert it to the CSV format", as www.ivyishere.org only imports this spreadsheet format now (besides an iTunes playlist). 😉 A detailed description of how to export all your Last.fm loved tracks, playlists and tag radios to Spotify, Deezer and Rdio can also be found here:

ivyishere is useless - found between 21 and 24 of 100 songs that are DEFINITELY on spotify.
spotmysongs just fails me every time with a bunch of errors. I have no idea why, it used to work.
Can't believe that all this time on spotify have not brought in something that works properly.
By the way, spotmysongs also ignores what you put in as title and artist and often comes up with incorrect matches even when there is one that exactly matches what you asked for.
