Just linked account with Facebook account and can't get past lightbox

Tried logging in with either username/pwd or Facebook credentials and both log in ok, but get this splash screen with checkbox that says "Show what I listen to on Facebook" and an eternally spinning ajaxy loader. If i click on red "x" on the lightbox Spotify crashes.

Help?

Hi atinney- What I've done is disconnected your Facebook from your 'allisontinney' account for the moment.

Please shut down the app and log in with your username. Once you're logged in you can reconnect to Facebook via your Preferences page.

I guess this is my situation? but not really...

For me, i originally created a spotify account by using my facebook account. However, I don't want to log onto spotify through facebook anymore, OR have anything to do with facebook through my spotify.... I was wondering if I can, while having the same stuff on my current spotify account through facebok, change to signing into spotify with a username and password, in other words, use spotify through spotify, not facebook.

I need your help urgently becasue Im moving back to China, and they dont have facebook, so does that mean i wont be able to use spotify or spotify mobile if Facebook is unable to be used?!?!?!??!?!

Hey Miranda0214, I'm afraid it's not possible to unlink your account from Facebook.

I hope this doesn't stop you using Spotify when you move. I can't say for sure it will work, but when Facebook is blocked this doesn't always stop the Spotify login from working. We'll just have to see I guess.

Hey Sithensley- As you also created your account via Facebook, I'm afraid I can't de-link the two accounts. This would deactivate your Spotify altogether.

Could you please let me know which operating system/ Spotify version you're having this issue with?

Is there something you can do for me? Ever since I upgraded Spotify on my PC, it consistently crashes after I click to view my profile. The lightbox appears, but if I click Edit/Publish, or the [x] to close, the entire program crashes.

What's really interesting is that usually I would be asked to send details of the error to Spotify when opening it up again. In this particular scenario, it doesn't appear.

Will de-linking my Facebook account correct this issue? I originally signed up through Spotify, not Facebook.

Thanks for any help you can provide! Totally love Spotify and highly recommend it to all my friends, foes, and family.

unchartedradio - delinking your FB account could be a way to get around this, so I've gone ahead and done that for you. Any better now?
