Licensing for education

Licensing for education

I'm an IT technician at an independant school in the UK. Will a Premium for family license be suitable for playing music here or will we need a business account? What would the restrictions on the business account be? Would we need multiple subscriptions for different users or does the term 'per location' imply that we can do whatever we like so long as we're on oen physical site, which we are.

Many thanks.

Hey @McrownPCS,

No unfortunately you cannot use Premium for Family for this as it's for personal and non-commerical use only. I'd recommend taking a look at Spotify Business: https://www.soundtrackyourbrand.com/spotify-business

Note: I'm not a Spotify employee.

But isn't school or other educational institution a "non-commercial" use?

Exactly.  It's education, not commercial.

I'd really appreciate some sort of guidance on this as stuents making use fo Spotify in HE would help me teach music immensely.

Is the work-around for the teacher and all of the stuents to have their own individual Spotify accounts?
