Logging in with E-mail not working

I am trying to log in but for some reason it does not work, only with the e-mail however. I type in the e-mail and password and it says incorrect name/email, however when I replace the e-mail with the auto-generated username it works. So that must mean that the password is correct but for some reason it doesnt work to log in with the mail. We have triple checked that the mail is right. Anyone know what to do here?

Just to be sure, are you inputting your email address in all lowercase letters? If you are, and you're still having trouble, try updating your email address from your Account Overview.
