My daughter has her own free Spotify account, how do I upgrade to our fam premium ?.

Hi @Lesleymargot, welcome to the Spotify Community!

Just follow the steps bellow:

INVITE A MEMBER

1. Go to your account page. 
2. Click Premium for Family in the menu on the left.
3. Select an Empty slot. 
   
4. Click INVITE WITH LINK or enter the Spotify email address of the person you want to invite and click SEND INVITE.

A confirmation email will be sent when a new member is successfully added to the Premium for Family subscription. 

ACCEPT AN INVITE

To accept a Premium for Family invitation, open the link you received and click ACCEPT INVITATION. 

If you already have a Free or Spotify-created Premium account

• You’ll be redirected to a new browser that contains a pre-filled token. Click REDEEM.

Thanks - I did do this and copied the code from the link I sent her. We then went to her free account and used redeem but it said it wasn't valid. She is keen to keep her playlists etc

Hmm. Could you cancel and send it again, and this time make sure that both you and your daughter clear your cache/cookies after resending the invite.

You should also check that their registered country and your registered country are the same.
