My spotify account suddenly deleted?

I used to have a Spotify account that was connected to my Facebook, but I stopped using Spotify for a couple of months. I tried to log back in yesterday but it says that my Spotify account no longer exists, and instead logs me in to a completely new account that is also connected to my Facebook.

I checked the 'Followers' list on people I had followed and my account is still there, except the username is just the numbers '1269283427.'

Why is my Spotify account doing this? I really just want my old account back... Thank you for any responses!!!

Hi, and welcome to the community!

I suggest you submit an online contact form; and someone at Spotify can get this sorted.

If you get an automated reply; make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply); and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.

Did you log in with your facebook credentials - email address (not a username) and facebook password?

Hi Sgotfried,

It looks like your Spotify account has created a duplicate of itself and attached your Facebook to the duplicate.  This is an easy fix - we remove the duplicate and send you a reset link to login and repair the original (1269283427) account.  Could you please contact the support team via this link and then post your case reference in a reply to this thread?  If you get an automated reply about seeking help on the Community, simply reply back to it and your email will be put into the live filter.
