No 30-Trial Rip-Off!

No 30-Trial Rip-Off!

When I discovered Spotify I started my account by paying for Premium account. Then my friends told me, that you're able to get 30 days for free. Then I cancelled my premium account to get the deal. But it's just not possible because I paid for a Premium account in the first place, which is totally rip-off in my opinion.

It's a principle that I won't activate the account again before I get a part in that 30 days free Premium account like everyone else had the chance of.

Have anyone experienced the same or is it just a "bug" which doesn't make me able to get the 30 days for free.

Tried to activate the deal, but I get some message saying it's not avaliable for me.

The point of the trial is that they're trying to make you buy Premium by offering a free trial. By paying for Premium in the first place, you showed that you are already willing to pay for premium, thus no trial needed any more.

Yes I am willing to pay for the service if I get same conditions as other users.

Which I surely don't.

This means you just lost a customer instead of gaining one. - Clever marketing politics. LOL*

And will of course lose more, when I tell people about it.

Heres what happned to me. I started the free trial and applied with a cresit card. Then 30 days later they charged my card. Then to make matters worse they still are asking me to sign up again. I dont have premium services as of now but yet my CC bill says I paid for them. The honets to gods truth. I mean I guess if you don't read that they have no 1800- number. You put yourself in the predicament where its a case of you said they said. You will never win when they have your billing permission. Its all about how much money they can bleed out of you. I have to change my credit card number now because they have no way to cancel your subscription. hell they dont even have an account page showing your billing statement. ITS BS! Dont use spotify. If you wanna hear music just buy it like everyone else. I will never ever reccommend this app to anyone. I will bad mouth it till it disapears. You guys suck!

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

Sorry to hear you are having issues, it does sound like you actually have two accounts in the system and are accessing the one that is not on premium. The payment after the 30 day trial is over is normal, as the 30 day free trial is the start of a rolling monthly subscription with the first month free (as specified when you sign up).

No need to worry, if you get in touch with the payments team directly using the online contact form they should be able to refund you since you have not been using the service.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
