On the browse page, I usually have at least one french playlist in the discover section, and email blasts seem to come to me in french.

I can't find anywhere on my profile where I'm listed as preferring french, except the fact that I'm in Canada, and of course, most of Canada doesn't speak french...

I wish I could like this a thousand more times... it is a broad stereotype that Spotify is making. My 'Daily Mix' always has french music in it and I haven't even learned French since I was in grade 3! Please update this to accommodate other provinces 🙂
