Offline Content Not Downloading "Spotify Server Problem"

Offline Content Not Downloading "Spotify Server Problem"

Hi there, I am in southern Ireland and noticed this morning that my offline content was not downloading to my iOS devices. I then checked my Mac and the same problem. If I click on a playlist to download to my mac it says "The was a problem with the Spotify server"

All my music will play if I stream it and information for playlists that I create with transfer from device to device however it won't let me download content. I don't have that much music on my devices however I have changed them over the Christmas and did have to quite Spotify on my iPhone and relaunch it as it suggested a few days ago. Can you please look into this.

I have also contacted my internet provided who has assured me that there are no blocks in place on their side. I don't have an ip to ping for your offline server but I take it that the system is running on the same ip.

Many thanks,

Stephen

Have you tried logging out then into all the clients?

Just tried it there and the same problem persists.... 😞

Are you using your home WiFi?

Please could you try using a different network connection - such as mobile internet if available.

If not, then you may need to reinstall the client, however before you do I will check to see if there are any issues with the server.

Hi there same problem is persisting on all my iOS devices and I have deleted and reinstalled on all several times. I just checked using my iPhone data connection and this will let me download offline content however I have contacted my internet provider and they say that no blocks or limits are in place and it was working a few days ago. If it is the internet connection does that mean that your servers use a different connection for offline downloads as I can stream music without a problem and sync playlist data also without a problem between different devices.

If it is the internet connection is there an ip address that it uses that I can ping or something so that I can point it out to the provider? Thanks.

I don't actually know, but I'll escalate to forum staff and see if I can find out.

I admit, it is quite strange...

Many thanks. I just got this message from my internet provided:

"no firewall and all ports open"

I also swapped out the router and the same problem persists 😞

Hi,

the IP's are in this thread: http://community.spotify.com/t5/Newcomers-and-Contribution/Troubleshooting-connection-issues/td-p/10...

The thread was last updated in October though, so they may not be accurate.

It get's even stranger now. Firstly I have checked and none of the ports listed are blocked and I have access to them. However my iPhone will now download offline content since this morning but my computer or any computer I have tried will not nor will my iPad??? Please assist.
