Since the last client update I've gotten the message that my offline access for my computer has been withdrawn twice. I have no issue on my iPod so far but having to resync 1000+ songs on a slow connection is rather unsettling. I'm only using two devices (PC and Ipod touch). Is there any known way to fix this and avoid having to resync my offline stuff every other day? Thanks in advance.
Looks to be it...and it seems to just overwrite my cache folder everytime it resyncs so it's now triple in size than it should be. How would one revert to a previous version until they get this sorted out? That is, of course, assuming that this bug rolled out with the last update.
I have exatly the same problem too. Everytime I restart the Spotify application on my windows PC the cache resets back to it's default on C drive. As I have limited space available on SSD C drive, this is a problem that needs to be fixed. I sent a message to Spotify support couple of days ago and they replied as follows:
"Thanks for contacting us!
I am very sorry to hear that you had some problems.
After the updated, i will suggest to clear the cache, uninstall and reinstall spotify.
What i can do for you is disconnect the devices from here, that will solve the problem. It also means that you will need to sync the playlists again in your devices.
Please contact us again so we can provide further help to solve your problem!
Have a good day!"
I reinstalled the app both on my PC and Android phone but it doesn't resolve the issue. I replied to this message to let them know.
I find it frustrating that the support person who wrote this didn't know about the bug.
Let us hope this will be fixed soon.
This has been escalated as a bug (so I am guessing support just haven't heard yet) here on the community over on this bugs topic.

Thanks Peter. I also received a reply from Spotify support . They acknowledged that this is a bug and apparently my query has been passed on to a supervisor.
Must be a nightmare for those with data capped internet connections. I guess we will have to wait for Spotify to fix this.

Fingers crossed it is soon!
