@Joe is correct here, you can cancel at any time you like with no hassle. You just need to go to your online account (linked above) and follow the steps to cancel your subscription. Once that is done, your account will remain on premium/unlimited for all of the remaining days you have paid for, and will then revert to Spotify free. You are free to upgrade again anytime you like, or continue to use the free service - all of your playlists and followers will remain on your account no matter what subscription plan you are on.
