UWAGA!

 

Jeżeli próby płatności za Spotify kartami kredytowymi / debetowymi kończą wam się niepowodzeniem to sprawdźcie czy macie ustawiony na karcie niezerowy limit płatności korespondencyjnych i telefonicznych. Z nieznanego mi powodu Spotify, dla moich kart w mBank, korzysta z tego właśnie limitu a nie limitu dla transakcji internetowych.

Często płacę za zakupy / subskrypcje online z zagranicy (np. na kickstarterze) i nigdy takie coś mi się nie zdarzyło. Jest to najprawdopodobniej błąd po stronie Spotify.

Hi,

I've tried to pay for my Premium Spotify account using Polish Visa and Visa Electron cards issued by mBank. These payments falied until I have changed my cards authorization limits for mail and telephone transactions. Why does the Spotify use those limits instead of online internet transactions limits? This is very confusing and I have never seen any other foreign or Polish website use this type of transaction limit (that's why I had it set to zero).

This is clearly an error, probably on your side.

Sigh... then why I can't find any info about that on a dedicated help page about payment failures? They wrote that one should check if the credit card accepts foreign transactions but they forgot to inform that they use 'mail and telephone transactions' limit? Perhaps it's something specific to Polish card issuers? Cause I've never even had an option in my bank to block foreign transactions on my card, but my 'mail and telephone transactions' limit is set to zero by default. And that means that there are probably quite a lot of people struggling with this very issue while there is no help about it provided by Spotify.

I have Mbank as well - just changed the MO payment limit but it doesn't seem to work anyway - should I wait a day or should it work right away - already lost my spotify premium which is not a nice thing for me 😄 

 

The site just writes this, no matter home many times I try:

  • Oops, seems your card or payment provider is having a bad day. Don't worry, no money has been charged. Try again or use another payment method.
