Price increase, I'm quitting

Price increase, I'm quitting

After several years on Spotify’s Family plan, I just got the email about a price increase.

 

They say:
"We’ve increased the price of Premium Family to continue innovating our products and features, and to offer you the best possible experience."

That for me it's just marketing blah blah blah.

 

Honestly, it’s getting ridiculous. Time to switch — hello, Amazon Music.

I’m sorry to hear that you feel this way. There is more information as to why Spotify makes these price changes here. If you’d like, you’re welcome to check other Premium plans from your account page, or, you can cancel your subscription following these steps

First, thank you for the service and app. However, the current price increase I don't understand. Usually the prices should go down with a growing number of users. That is the law of economies of scale. So, if you are increasing the prices to give more pay to artist, fine. But why not communicating that. If you increase the prices to finance new software developments, wrong cash flow planning from the beginning. If you increase the prices to give you stakeholders higher return on investment, failure in the business model at the first place. Happy to help if you struggle with the business model. Now to my idea:

I wanted to give this feedback to you, because I think -  as a thought leader in product management - customer feedback and customer centricity is important. But this was not possible, because you don't have this feedback box. Shall I give feedback via app store? Not sure if you want that.
