Random Username is annoying

I used to be able to create a new account and be able to customize my own username along with the display name.

It's easier for me and for everyone to share a username than the display name as we are more familiar with them.

I tried creating a new account today and i found out that i can't customize my username anymore. Instead, i ended up with a messy random username that probably no one can memorize or be fancy about. 

This gibberish username is one of the reasons that are making me reconsider switching to a different music service provider.

I was also annoyed at first, but I learned to deal with it. In my opinion ausername shouldn't affect our enjoyment while listening to music.

Thanks for posting about this on the Community.

As you noted, it is currently not possible to change your alphanumeric username.

However, at sign-up you are able to choose a display name. You can also hook up your Facebook account to your Spotify account so that your Facebook name will show.
