Redeem a premium code when already a premium member

I have the following situation:

I'm a (very happy) premium spotify user for about 10 months now. 

Recently I won a year's worth of spotify premium, which is the same subscription I pay for now.

How do I redeem this code properly?

• Do I first cancel my credit card subscription, wait till the end of my premium subscription and then use the code? 
• Do I just redeem the code? I obviously don't want to pay 9.99 for half a month or lose half a month of my code.
• Some other way?

After the code subscription finishes I'd also like to continue with my credit card subscription, as I mentioned above I'm a happy customer 🙂

Just redeem it - the expiry date will be increased.

So, if the expiry date is currently 14-01-2013 it will change to 14-01-2014

(UK Date format).
