Redeemed gift card while having an active subscription

Hi, I have an active subscription for Spotify Premium. Now I just redeemed a gift card, but I am not sure, if spotify is smart enought to stop withdrawing the monthly fee from my credit card. Do I need to cancel my subscription now or how does this work?

The system is intelligent enough to let you do that. It will push the next date Spotify withdraw money from your payment method by the amount of time of the gift card.
