Someone used my email?

Okay I am hoping someone can help me out here. A week or so ago I signed up for student Spotify premium. I signed up through my main email because I thought that was the email I signed up with. After the ads continued playing and some general frustratingly stupid back and forth investigating, I came to realize someone had created a Spotify account with my main email account and I had created mine under a side one. I unfortunately had paid for premium on the stranger's account. So I cancelled premium on theirs and went to apply it on mine, but now it's throwing a fit that my student information was used on theirs. I just want to update to student premium on MY actual account, not the stranger who stole my email. (Which PS, how does that even happen?!) I don't even care about a refund at this point, I just want to be able to sign up for student premium on MY account. I can't figure out where I can directly contact help through my app or tablet, it just brought me here. Any suggestions?

Somebody in Thailand set up a Spotify account using my e-mail.

There is no way to contact Spotify unless you have a Spotify account: BAD!

I initiated a password reset, changed password on the account I did not create, and did a "Log Out Everywhere" to kick anyone else using this account off.

Their old password will no longer work, and nobody else will be able to use this e-mail to create another Spotify account, I hope.

What a pain!
