Spotify Artist Name Taken But It's Not Really Taken?

Hi, I'm the frontman of a band that wants to create a Spotify account. Unfortunately while signing up it says the username (our band name) is not available although we've checked numerous times and there is not a single artist, user, or profile with that specific username. Using the name would be imperative for us for obvious reasons. Is there a solution to this? A glitch?

Hey @Jojoholl,

The signup form (https://spotify.com/signup) has nothing to do with getting an artist page on Spotify. To get an artist page, you need to have your music distributed to Spotify via your label/aggregator.
