Spotify account-merge to family plan

I created a family plan, but the student joining my plan already has his own account. Is there a way to merge his account to the family plan so that he does not lose his playlists or will he have to start from scratch?

Hi, and welcome to the community!

You can't have a student subscription and a family subscription offer on top of one another. To get them onto the family plan, they will have to unsubscribe, let their account revert to free, then you can add them to the family plan following the steps here.
