Spotify displays my real name instead of my username

Spotify displays my real name instead of my username.  I would far prefer to use my username.  I can't find a place to change this in the profile or account settings.  Help?

You will show your real name if you are connected to Facebook. There is no way to change this behavior. You have to disconnect from Facebook to get your username back.

To do so, go to Preferences inside Spotify and click "Disconnect from Facebook".

If you used to be connected to Facebook, it could be the data is cached someone on your local client.

Try a clean reinstallation which should remove all the old files for you.

It doesn't work. My playlists still show my real name instead of my uysername, and I'm FB disconnected.

Multiple reinstallations, disconnect from fb etc.  Nothing, still shows my real name and fb picture.

i did that but it doesnt remove the cache on my hp desktop,i have no idea how to fix it.

weirdly if i download spotify in a new brand  laptop, name and surname doesnt appear
