My Question or Issue
I saw a already open post about this topic but it got opened 1 Month ago and it didn’t got fixed.
I got the problem when I installed IOS 26.2 and still on IOS 26.3 Beta it isn’t fixed, I don’t know if you guys can fix it or if it’s an problem from apple with CarPlay.
I have the newest Spotify and IOS Version.
When I go to Library -> Playlists -> Any Playlist with more than around 50 songs -> loading for a sec -> showing „no content“ (in German: „kein Inhalt“).
But in the playlist there are songs.
I need to open my phone, go to the playlist and hit there play and it’s really really annoying.
I asked google and it said: „Its a bug that CarPlay can’t load this many songs.“ So I don’t know if you guys can fix it or maybe give a notification to apple because it’s such a annoying bug and it’s increasing the danger of an crash because people will look at their phone to change songs or a playlist.
(In Playlists with not so many songs the problem is gone ~25 Songs).
I already tried everything from redownloading, restarting my CarPlay Radio, restarting my phone, clearing the cache and restarting the app to reinstalling the app but nothing helped.
I hope you guys can solve the problem and I wish you a wonderful Christmas time 🙂
LG Eric
Hello,
i have the exact same bug after the Update to IOS 26.2 . It is really annoying because i cant use any of my Playlists anymore. I use a IPhone 11 Pro Max with a cable for Carplay. It is really annoying and i hope it will get fixed soon.
Hi, I am facing the same issue.
iphone 16 pro, still on iOS v18.6.2
If we’re all facing the same issue but on different versions of OS and hardware. Might be a spotify issue
Now after the newest update that just came out a bigger playlist with 9h of playtime is working again but still playlists that are bigger then 9h of playtime aren’t loading.
My main playlist is not showing any songs in CarPlay (IOS26.2). The playlist has ~44h of music. I have to open my phone and start the playlist from there and after that I can control next/previous. Some smaller playlists shows the content.
Also experiencing this issue, any Spotify generated playlists appear to load, however any of my larger playlists do not!
So there was an 200mb Update from Spotify today and it didnt changed anything for me.
i Still cant use my Playlist the "Bug" is still there 😣
i am also having this same issue with my iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS v18.6.2, it started randomly happening this week where all my playlists are empty on Carplay, but they are all present on my iPhone.
Hey there folks,
Thanks for reaching out on the Community!
Just to make sure we cover all bases, would you mind giving some troubleshooting steps a try as well (if you haven't already)? For example clearing stored cache, a clean reinstall of the app, restarting CarPlay, restarting the device, etc. And @Syrox - kudos for already trying the steps 🙂
So we can look into this behavior further, should the issue persist, we'll just need a few more details from you. Would you mind letting us know:
We'll keep an eye out for your replies!
Hello,
so i tried these things and it still dont work:
- Reinstall Spotify
- Empty Cache and Delete the Downloads from the Playlists
- Downloading the Playlists again
- Restart Carplay and Device
- Tried it with a Cable and with an Wireless Adapter
For Example i have a Playlist with 357 Songs and a Playlist with just 23 Songs and on both Playlists i get "No Content".
Then on the other Playlist with 378 Songs this Playlist works fine.
Before Updating on IOS 26.2 all my Playlists were working.
iPhone 11 Pro Max
Spotify Version 9.1.6.1142
So Like Stevuh my playlists aren’t loading but playlists with not so many songs in it they still load, only big playlists aren’t loading and showing „no content“ (Smaller Playlists weren’t loading at the beginning too, randomly after some days they worked again but the bigger playlists are still bugging).
I tried it just now with Podcast that have 200-300+ Episodes and they work just fine.
I didn’t find a Album with this many songs in it but some with around 50 Songs in it work just fine.
The bug is the same on CarPlay via Cable or Wireless.
My Spotify Version: 9.1.6.1142
Same problem here, did all of the troubleshooting options. It seems that playlists that contain local files are not loading content for me. Haven’t tried to remove them, will update when that solves the issue.
@ch4ri0t Thank you for the tip!
I tried it out with a playlist that has 15h of playtime and it works now!
So the local files in playlists are the problem.
I made a test, I opened the playlist on CarPlay and deleted all local files, then it instantly loads and all songs are showing.
After that I added a local files song back into the playlist on my phone and on CarPlay the playlist instantly crashed and shows „no content“.
Thank you for the idea and @Maria now you have further information 🙂
@ch4ri0t you figured out the cause! my playlists with at least 1 local file, no matter the duration, don't load, but all spotify song playlists do! @maria ios 26.2, spotify 9.1.6, carplay with 2024 audi q3.
Hey there folks,
Thanks for all your replies here!
Thanks for the detailed info sent, and for the workaround provided. We are looking into this right now, so please share here the info asked for @Maria above. Meanwhile, make sure to remove all local files, as this seems to help solving this behavior.
If this is happening for you on Android devices, please remember we have this thread in which that is being investigated further.
Keep us in the loop.
I haven’t even updated to ios 26.2 and I’m all the sudden having the same issue.
I’ve never added local files so that resolution isn’t any help to me. I think this started happening with the Spotify 9.1.4 update last week.
I have a similar problem with Spotify in CarPlay.
It stopped displaying individual songs in my favorites. The car radio displays a message translated from Czech as "Nothing here."
Other playlists that can be created manually display songs as usual. Even if there are over 100 songs in them.
I hope someone will solve this 🙂
I got my CarPlay working and I'm not sure which one did the trick: I went through my playlist and found one song that was unavailable (greyed out and unable to play it) and deleted it from the playlist. I also updated the Spotify app to the latest version that just came. After this I tested it in my car and was able to load the playlist.
I followed all your steps...nothing works! IOS 18.7.3, Spotify: 9.1.4.1171
