Spotify keeps pausing on all my devices

Spotify keeps pausing on all my devices

I have tried playing Spotify on my phone, Playstation, WebApp and Desktop App, and no matter what it keeps pausing after a few seconds. I've cleared the cache, logged out of all accounts and changed my password, and checked my playback history to see if anything was out of the ordinary, to no avail.

Welcome to the Spotify Community, and thanks for reaching out to us!

Considering it's affecting different devices, have you already thought about the possibility that someone else got access to your account? I do recommend that you change your password. Also, you can go to your account page and click SIGN OUT EVERYWHERE as well.

 

It's also strongly advised that you change the password for:

  • The email address associated with your Spotify account (e.g. with Gmail, Hotmail, etc.)
  • Any Facebook profile associated with your Spotify account. You can make sure you're the only one currently logged into your Facebook in your Facebook Settings, under Security and login > Where You’re Logged In.
  • Any service where you use the same password as Spotify.

I sign in via Facebook, so I changed my Facebook password and signed myself out everywhere, but it didn't change anything. I've also looked at my playback history to see if there was anything out of the ordinary, but everything checked out. My Facebook log-ins also all appear to be in order.

 

I've also just reset my password for Spotify itself now, and subsequently used "sign out everywhere", and I'm still running into the issue.

Thanks for keeping me posted!

Just to try to find the reason it's happening, could you try to play any content using a different internet connection? Also, I'd like to ask you to try to use another Spotify account on one of those devices and check if the issue persists or if it's occurring just on your account.
