Spotify keeps saying "connecting"

Spotify keeps saying "connecting"

I have a perimium account with US-based payment method. I travelled to Iran for a period of time. First few weeks Spotify was okay, it's been couple of weeks now that it keeps telling me it's "connecting" on all my devices (mac, linux, iphone). I have full internet access, I can even login to my account, but when trying to play music it just doesn't! stating that it's connecting!!!

When I connect using a US VPN eveything goes smoothly and I can play without a problem.

This is not acceptble for a premium account!

Do you have any restrictions on that internet connection that may be causing this issue? Is it a public or private network?

I have tried it on several networks with different ISPs. Both private and public have the same issue.


From where are you trying to connect to Spotify (eg. Hotel, Workplace, Home etc.)?

 

Also, have you reached out to the customer support team of your ISP yet to see if there are any restrictions that prevent you from connecting to Spotify?

Home and work, I have tried both.

I have and they confirmed there is no restrictions connecting to spotify. 

 

Also like I said I have tried connecting to spotify on different ISPs.

I'd recommend reaching out to Spotify through one of the channels below. Make sure to link to this thread in your message to the team so that they can have a little bit more info right from the beginning of your support request. Thanks!
