Spotify on Mac, fine, on Intenet TV, trouble

Spotify on Mac, fine, on Intenet TV, trouble

I am able to log into Spotify on my wife's account or my account, both on Mac computers...and can access Spotify fine. But when I try to log into either account on my Internet-ready TV, I can't get past the username and password. It accepts the info, but tells me there's some log-in problem...but never suggests what the problem is, how I can get around it. I've tried multiple times on both accounts and get the same log-in issue that just returns me back to the start over and over and over? Any suggestions? I can use Pandora fine through the same system as I'm trying to use Spotify.

 

Also, any way to delete a radio station I don't want associated with my account?

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂 

 

Do you normally log in using Facebook or do you have a dedicated Spotify username and password? 

If its Facebook, you need to set up a device password and retrieve your Spotify username to sign into your account on partner devices such as TVs, just follow the instructions on this help page

 

There is currently no way to remove a radio station on your account directly, but the client will only store your most recent 20 so any you don't listen to will eventually be removed from the list.

I have a Spotify account and when prompted, enter my username and password. I know I'm entering the correct info as I'm carefully checking the characters. It's exactly the same as what I enter to access on my computer. But when I enter on my TV, it just says login error and offers me a choice to do it again (Back). I have a separate Spotify account in my wife's name, for her use, and have the same problem...it won't accept the username and password. Doesn't say it's wrong, just says login error. Seems no other options, not hint of what else to do?

What model of TV is it? Also, what country are you located in? 

 

If you are definitely sure your login details are correct, then you might need to get in touch with the TV makers customer services since they will be the ones who made the application (not Spotify).

It's a recently installed Sony Bravia, internet ready, tied to an Onkyo receiver. Guess the signal is really going through Onkyo. But it works just fine with Pandora, which has pretty much identical requirements to enter username and password. No problem there and use it all the time.
