Missie,

I'm having the same issue. Did you just upgrade to latest version(I did)? Am wondering if that could be the probllem.

No, I didn't, but I upgraded my account to Premium...could that be the reason..?

It is happening to me to!

My wife keeps winning the Pandora/Spotify battle only on the grounds that Spotify keeps freezing for no reason!

Its driving a brutha crazy!!

That shouldn't have changed anything as I've had the Premium service for several months ands its worked wonderfully. I think they have a major glitch in the system right now and I'm hoping they know it/are working on it.

Hi guys,

What systems are you using Spotify on? Is it Mac or Windows? Could you tell us what operating system you're all using?

Missie - It won't be linked to your Premium, no.

Who's your Spotify Star?

I'm using Spotify on Windows.

I have the same problem on Windows 7 and two uninstall/reinstalls and a clearing of my cache hasn't helped. 😞

I'm on Mac OSX. Was working great until I hit the upgrade button the other day. This isn't worth the hassle.

I still have the same problem on my Android Phone. Before the new release it worked fantastic, but with the new update I can only play one number of my playlist and than its over. What can I do about it? I tried to remove spotify and install it again as the spotify team recommended, but that's not the solution. Spotify team , please solve this problem as soon as possible!

Windows XP

HELP!!

Another thing you might want to try is turning off Crossfade tracks and Gapless Playback - This might get tracks playing again.
Airhorn Enthusiast

OK guys, its been what? Almost a week?

The program now gives me 2 songs at the most before crashing.

What gives?

Any progress towards fixing it?

Disabling gapeless playback didn't help. Still thinking about turminating my membership because I don't want to hear 1½ song before I have to terminate the program and start it again. Smiley Sad

It was a update that broke it so a new update would be nice!

My problems with Spotify started when I upgraded to Premium....
I have the same problem when I play from Spotify on my mobilephone too,....
I'm sick and tired of this ,this is NOT what I want to pay for..!
Something is wrong from Spotify's side, you should fix this, or you're gonna lose many members...!

I have been a premium customer since the start of Spotify.

I have the same problem. After some tracks Spotify stops. This behaviour started some months ago. Before that Spotify worked perfect.

Yesterday I made a clean installation (Windows 7 and all my programs). I also installed the latest Spotify version and hoped that Spotify would work in this new surrounding. But it does not.

This is BAD and extremely irritating.

The most irritating is that Spotify customer support does not answer mails. Support must mean a two-way communication. Sharpen upp SPOTIFY or  you will have a lot of angry customers.

 not all to new nvestment

Spotify is a growing company. Some of its investmen should go to keep the quality as it has been. Otherwise it will loose exisitng customers

"Another thing you might want to try is turning off Crossfade tracks and Gapless Playback"

I did not have crossfade enabled, but I did have Gapless Playback enabled. I unchecked that box and I have not had the problem since then. For me, problem solved.

Some background. I have been using Spotify since the launch in the US. I rarely had problems. More than three weeks ago, Spotify would always freeze after playing some songs. I could not notice a pattern. I reinstalled, but the problem persisted. The only thing that helped was unchecking Gapless Playback.

Some technical details.

Windows 7 Home Premium, fully patched

Spotify 0.8.4.107.blahblahblah (why no copy/paste ability?)

Chrome (does the browser matter?)

Connected to Facebook, but the problem happened even when I disconnected from Facebook

Privoxy (problem still present when Privoxy disabled)

Happened from dozens of different internet connection
