Spotify using old Facebook email

I had an old email account connected to my facebook page when i first made spotify. i no longer use that email address and it has been deleted. i have removed it from my facebook page and changed the email on there to my new, primary email address, but spotify is still connecting to the old deleted account. has anyone else had this issue and found a solution?

How long ago did you make the update to your email address? If it was more than 48 hours ago, try making sure that Spotify has permission to see your Facebook account's email address.

Just go to your Facebook settings > Apps > Spotify > Make sure email address is checked.
