I got the 99 cents for 3 months thing about 6 months ago and didn't use it much and I just realized they kept charging me for it without notifying me. I went to cancel it today because i barely use the service and after i say why i wanna cancel and input my password it takes me to a page that says something went wrong. This is the url https://www.spotify.com/au/account/cancel/reauth-and-cancel/
This is very irritating and I'll be pissed if i have to pay for another month.

Have you tried cancelling from a different device altogether?
If that doesn't help either, feel free to reach out to a member of the Spotify staff so that they can take a look behind the scenes for you.
You can drop them a line on social media (Twitter or Facebook) or by using the contact form. Make sure, if you use the latter, to reply to the automated email you'll receive directing you back to the help pages, even if it's from a no-reply!
Support usually gets back within a day or two.

That doesn't sound good. Can you try again after clearing your browser's cache and cookies memory? Alternatively, try in an incognito/ private window or an entirely different browser and see if that helps.

Hi,
I have been trying to cancel my premium for the last 2 days and I have the same error message after I re entered my password. I solved the issue by using Edge instead of Chrome, hope it helps.
Hi, I've tried doing it in incognito and a different browser (firefox instead of chrome) and neither work. I just tried after clearing cache and cookies but still no success :/.

I have the same problem as other people here and I have to say thats pain in the **bleep**. I didn´t think that spotify is such a bad service which is trying to get money from the people even if they dont want to use the service at all. I want to cancel my account soon as possible but not working in any web browser and its not possible to reset my password because emails with the instructions whre I should reset it are not coming. Can you please help me? I dont want to pay again for this "**bleep**ty" service. Honestly I dont believe that its not on the purpose that page is writing so many times sorry something wrong happened.

That doesn't sound very good but let's try to troubleshoot our way out of this corner 🙂 Firstly, about the reset email, have you checked your Spam file? Emails sometimes like to hide there, causing mischief. If not, do you have any other email addresses you may have a Spotify account linked? Make sure to check there, just in case of a mix up. Also, check the receipt Spotify sent you when you got Premium. It should clarify the username you should be using to access your Premium account. If it's a 10-digit number, it means you'll need to sign in with your Facebook credentials.
If you've made sure you're logged in the correct account and you're still getting the error message, try clearing your cache and cookies memory in that browser and trying once more.

Hey guys, canceling finally worked after I had to reach out to spotify on twitter and confirm its my account and that I want it canceled. While I'm happy my premium is finally canceled, I feel like it's a big issue that their actual cancellation page doesn't work. I feel like I shouldn't have had to reach out to their twitter to do something so basic. Anyways, I'm glad it's over and just wanted to say thanks for all your help.
