To those with a student discount

To those with a student discount

So Spotify offers a nice student discount for those who have an NUS discount or sign up via the Unidays website. So I did this and everything went smoothly, until I decided to do something that may or may not have been stupid. 

 

I thought about subscribing for the whole year instead of paying monthly, so I changed my account to the "yearly" option, and the process completed successfully, however, when I decided to revert back to monthly, it decided to negate the discount altogether:

 

 

Although it says I have a discount, you can see it still says I will be charged £9.99, so when I contacted support, here was my response:

 

"I can confirm that you have uploaded your unidays discount to your account, so you will not be charged the full price of 9.99."

 

So when it came to the billing period, I was charged the £9.99 as I fully expected and the advise the support rep gave was misleading, I already iniaited a request with support and am now waiting for further corospondance. Just thought I'd let you guys know in case you have similar problems 😃

Definitely sounds like a bug in the payments system, support should be able to get that sorted out for you!
