Turn off email notifications

Solved!

Turn off email notifications

Hi,

I subscribe to a playlist, but I'd rather not get email notiifications when they update it.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

Hi Sam,

Is it possiblie that I have got a duplicate account as well, because I keep getting status updates of playlists I did not subscribe to, even when the boxes in my account are unchecked. Could you please help me with this?

Thank you very much in advance!

I also keep getting email updates from spotify.  Do I have a duplicate account?

Sam-

People are getting emails when I add a song to a playlist. I want to turn this off. Please help!

Balvinnie - Looks like you didn't have all your email notifications set to 'Never'--I've fixed that for you.

In the future you can edit those from your profile page

speakeasylisten - Nope, no duplicate. What sort email updates are you receiving. If you've received our newsletter just select 'Unsubscribe' at the bottom of the message.

kwoosh6 - Your friends can edit which emails they receive by going to their profile page. However users are unable to adjust what notifications are sent out regarding their account.

Cheers!!

Quick update for you all. If you're receiving unwanted emails, please first check your profile page. All notifications should be set to 'Never' and the box for the newsletter unchecked.

If you've already unsubscribed but you're still getting emails, please check Per's post here: http://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Announcements/Unsubscribing-from-notifications-and-emails/td...

As soon as we have an update we will post there first. Thanks everyone!

Dear Sam,

I've got the same problem (email notifications sent although these should disabled in my profile). Could you check if I have these duplicate-profile problem as well?

Hi RobertdeBruin - Do you use a different email for Facebook?

Try signing into your profile page using your FB email and password. If you're successful you've got a second account. Just go ahead and edit those email settings.

Hi everybody,

In the end - what worked for me - was to delete or block the facebook app on the facebook website. This was the problem in the end. Perhaps not the preferred solution for both the Spotify and the Facebook company, but hallelujah! Good riddance for all the annoying updates I received by mail.

Good luck to you all with the same problem!

I also just sent out a FB wall post to alert my friends of how to change this. Still feels invasive to inconvenience my friends to turn something off that is a result of my actions. I may follow suit and just disconnect FB and Spotify to avoid this in the future (unless Spotify can make this privacy option available to the end user, not the user's friends.)

I'm still receiving text notifications to my phone for "A playlist I subscribe to is updated" even though i've had this option set to 'Never' for ages.

update 8-29-14:  I didn't realize there were separate settings on the iPhone specifically for text notifications. I thought this was all controlled from the website prefs. I disabled the setting on the phone so this should do the trick.

I've created an account through facebook button, so I don't really have an usernama and password for your service.

But when I uncheck the email checkbox in my profile, then logout and log back in through facebook, the button is again checked.

Please fix it, otherwise I'll have to place spotify on my spamlist, which I wouldn't prefer.

Thank you

Note: I'm not a Spotify employee.

I am also getting emails constantly and I have notifications turned off.

How do we get any traction on this?

I am getting tired of all of the emails, I click unsubscribe but they keep coming thru.
