Unable to log in

My dad is unable to log in to his account in his phone. It says he has the wrong password. I can log in on my phone with the same user name and password without any issues, so the password is correct. I've also tried deleting and downloading the Spotify app on his phone without any success. He uses Android. Any thoughts on why this is happening and what we could do to make it work?

Is he logging in using a Spotify username or with Facebook (so email address and password)?
