Unable to use unused email

Hi,

 

I have a problem. I wanted to create a Spotify account, however when I entered my email it says the email has been taken. So I try to use the "Forgot username/password button" it tells me that the email is not linked to an active account. So is my email used or not? How can I use that email?

Hi @user-removed,

 

It might help to contact Spotify by filling out the contact form here.  They should be able to change your email address for you since you are unable to do so.  Be sure to give them both the old and the new address, as well as any other info they might need to locate your account.  Hopefully they can get your account fixed up for you quickly!
