I am on Premium and have disconnected my Spotify account from my Facebook account. I linked it once just to see how it works, didn't care for it so wanted to delete the connection.
My Edit - Preferences now says "Connect to Facebook" under Social Network, so to me there should no longer be any links between my FB and Spotify.
I have also deleted the Spotify app from Facebook - Account settings - apps.
But I still see my FB friends on the Spotify main page! "Trending playlists among friends." This is happening whether I am logged in FB on any browser or not.
Why does Spotify still have access to my FB data and friends list? To me this looks like a severe privacy violation.
Hey Bob,
Just had a look at your account, it doesn't appear to be connected to a Facebook account at all... Have the "Trending playlists amongst friends" updated at all since you disconnected from Facebook? What may be happening is that information has been cached to your computer, in order to bring it up quickly on your computer. However, even though you have disconnected Spotify and Facebook, this information is still showing up.
A more surefire way to check this by clicking on the "People" list on the left hand side and seeing if you are connected to anyone under "Everyone" tab - This generally pulls everyone from Facebook, even people who don't have Spotify.
Hi there!
So I've just had a look at your account and your original, Premium account is not connected to your Facebook.
When you first tried to connect to Facebook you made another account instead--I believe you've been logging into that duplicate rather than your Premium account.
Please shut down and restart the application--then sign in with your original username (not your email address).
Hi,
I have at the moment the same problem. I disconnected fb from spotify on the windows program, removed spotify at facebook settings but still spotify sees my friends...

Try a clean reinstallation of the client, does that make them vanish?

Hello,
I have the exact same problem. I unlinked my Facebook from my account, logged in with my original username, and I can still see my FB friends' activity in the browse. Any solution?
